Midnight's Greatest Gift

*This is a blog tribute to my amazing husband. And I thought I was the one with the creative mind, sweetie! Thanks for always making me laugh. Love you!

So Darren and I are laying in bed last night watching tv, reruns of "How I Met Your Mother" to be exact. Love that show. Well....and they took Seinfeld off at 9pm. Dumb TBS people. I miss Elaine, George, Jerry and of course...NEWMAN! I've had to settle for Barney, Lily, Marshall & Robin...Wait for it...Le-Gen-Dary! If you don't watch "How I Met Your Mother" you have no idea what I'm talking about it. And that's okay...I still love you!

Darren invented a new concept. A slogan of sorts. Please feel free to use at the water cooler tomorrow.

MIDNIGHT'S GREATEST GIFT - When you wake up before midnight feeling like you've slept for hours on end and thinking work is right around the corner. But, you cautiously roll over to see that it's only 11:30pm. You've got 6+ hours more of sleep before dragging yourself out of bed! That's "Midnight's Greatest Gift".

3 PM's WORST NIGHTMARE - When you wake up after midnight feeling like you HAVE NOT slept for hours and thinking work is right around the corner. You cautiously roll over to see that it's 3am. Alarm goes off in 3 hours and you have no idea how you are going to drag yourself out of bed feeling so lousy! That's "3 PM's Worst Nightmare".

Brilliant.

So, tomorrow ask your co-worker "Midnight's Greatest Gift or 3 PM's Worst Nightmare, last night Bob"? I would like to hear what Bob has to say....

XO~

It Takes THREE To Tango.....

"It Takes Two To Tango"......

For me that is SO yesterday. But, it took some time and some "spiritual" growing up to do in order to realize the reality of what I needed in my life. Relying on my hardened heart to make an important decision or move in life was not up to me. Nor should it be up to me. It shouldn't be up to my spouse either. And, he rightly agrees...

The King Dad and I were faced with a huge decision to make last week. A decision that would ultimately change how we lived our day to day life. Pro's and con's were listed, noted and discussed beyond detail.
But, we took OUR decision to our third party to see what He had to say about it. And He made it very clear as to what our answer should be.

Matthew 7:7....Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

It's easy to fill your mind and your heart with what YOU want. But, it may not be what He wants for you. Have you ever considered that? There have plenty of times in my life that I've wanted something so badly, but missed the opportunity. It's easy to become selfishly angry at not getting what you want. But, perhaps it was never meant to be given to you in the first place.

It really does take three to tango.....especially if you want to do His will and not your own. And when you do so, it's amazing how the puzzle pieces all seem to fit together.

When you put the puzzle pieces of your life together in the "light", it's easy to find the interlocking pieces and matching edges. But when you try to put the pieces of your life together in the "dark", you can't see what's in front of you and none of these pieces fit right no matter how hard you cram them together.

I am so proud of my husband. After lots of prayers and due diligence he is moving forward with his career in a brand new setting. And for that we are thankful.....

Congratulations King Dad!

P.S. There is nothing more attractive in man than one who lives by the old saying...."It Takes Three To Tango". :-)

A Love Hate Relationship...Mainly Hate....

Yes, this is the new logo of the companies I despise. And no, I did not construct it. Which is concerning a bit.....I am apparently not the only one who dislikes both of these companies.

I apologize if you find the logo offensive, but I am taking a moment to rant about the company who values me like a wad of gum stuck on the bottom of a park bench. It's been this way for a while, which is why I rarely ever use their services. I haven't in a long time. It's called "being burned" one too many times.

If you are not an ebay seller, then don't become one. And if you are, then bless you dear friend. You will find yourself praying a whole bunch about these snakes. Because that's what they are. Snakes....

I went in to list my kids Star Wars Figures about 2 weeks ago. Had not sold in a while. I found that my account was suspended. I blew it off because I didn't have the time to deal with it and soon forgot about it.

Today I went in again to try and list. My kids are wanting to sell their figures for some summer spending money. Account is still suspended and was not set for "review" until May 31st. My blood was now boiling at this point. Mind you, I've had an account with these folks for 10 years. You'd think I'd have a bit of value to them. Apparently not. *view statement regarding "wad of gum" above

I found a customer service number, called them and spoke in my nicest tone possible. But, I demanded an explanation.

She went through my account and said I had not been selling in quite some time. Duh. *Again, please refer to the "wad of gum" comment.

After 10 minutes of pure nonsense from their end, I was told "Hmmm...that's strange. I don't really know why your account has been suspended. I don't see anything in your account notes on selling and/or buying limitations. Really ebay...now ain't that somethin' shocking! (rolling eyes)

"I apologize. I will have someone look into your account to see what has happened." So I tell this representative "Super! When are you going to take care of it"? She replies "Well, I can't give you a timeframe unfortunately...a few days....maybe. We'll call you." I bet. I'll be waiting by the phone anxiously of course. I'm kidding...We'll have flying cars by the time I ever hear back. And even then...it's doubtful.

Hello Craigslist! It's nice to meet you......

In Honor of the Royal Wedding...I Thee Blog

Apparently it has taken the royal wedding of the century to get me to start blogging again...on a personal level that is.

So, this is my gift to the happy couple...a blog about royalty. Except in my case, wearing a "crown" means getting my hair colored every 6 weeks to cover the gray. My "crown" is full of gray these days.

Before you ask, I did NOT get up at 4am to watch the wedding. I have better things to do...like sleeping and working. That's why they make TiVo, peeps. Royal weddings do not pay bills either. If only.....

I love Kate's dress...I'm sorry...The Duchess of Cambridge. Did you know it costs $480,000? Apparently it had been made by flying unicorns and spun gold from the pot of a leprechaun. So what would I choose...the stunning McQueen dress or $480,000? The dress of course!

I'm kidding. Actually I'd buy the dress, wear it to like dinner or something...or perhaps talk the King Dad into renewing our vows...although he says "I've said our vows once, and if you didn't believe me then, why in the world would you believe me now?"....so I think that's off the table. Then I'd re-sell it on Craigslist for $500,000 to some woman in NYC or maybe Angelina Jolie. If you have her number let me know.

Did I mention I loved her dress? Just making sure...

I am excited for the happy couple. But, I will not be buying a commemorative plate from late night tv infomercials with the Duke and Duchess on it. I don't collect plates, so please don't buy me one. If you are at Costco anytime soon though I do need a pack of paper plates. That is what our "royal" family eats off of everyday. We go through about 400 a week. Prince Bossypants enjoys using paper plates as Frisbees, hats and flying saucers. We don't buy our children toys in case you were wondering....

She was at the royal wedding...what's her name? Posh Spice or something? Nobody cares. Yawn....

David Beckham was at the wedding....yes. Uh, huh...with his wife...whatever her name is. Push, Pull or something like that?

Yes, David was there with some lady wearing a disguise. Maybe it was his mother....You are looking quite Dapper David. Wait, I'm getting off topic...

Congrats to the happy couple! Love the dress Kate...love the dress. Call me...we'll hang out at the Palace soon.

Kisses ~
